The Nebo Loop is what happens when the Forest Service builds a road purely because the mountain deserved one. It coils around Mount Nebo — 11,928 feet, tallest in the Wasatch — through aspen tunnels and past Devil's Kitchen, a pocket of red hoodoos that looks like Bryce Canyon got lost. The pavement is good, the corners are honest, and traffic is a rumor. In late September the aspens go full gold and this becomes, without much competition, the best fall ride in northern Utah. Yes, we will be closing the shop for it. That's called work-life balance.
