Ride Utah.
Both kinds.

Pavement and dirt are one continuous ride in Utah — the only state where a plated machine legally connects canyon road to summit trail. These are the routes we actually ride, written by the people who sell you the machine and then show up Saturday to ride it with you.

Why this exists

The state's map died. We ride ours.

Utah once had a genuinely good interactive trail map. Then the OHV program got shuffled between agencies in 2021 and the maps quietly went dark — today it's scattered PDFs from 2011 and a redirect. And no state resource ever covered the paved side at all. So we're building the thing that should exist: every route on this page gets ridden by the shop, filmed on a GoPro, and kept honest. If a gate's closed or a road's washboard, we'll say so — same way we grade the bikes.

The routes

Nineteen and counting.

№ 01 Pavement

Scenic Byway 12

The one road every rider on earth should be measured against.

124 mi · Apr–Nov · Statewide flagship
№ 02 Pavement + dirt

Moki Dugway

Three miles of gravel switchbacks carved into the face of a cliff. On a state highway.

34 mi · Year-round (dry days) · Statewide flagship
№ 03 Pavement

Mirror Lake Highway

The highest paved pass in Utah, and the coldest you'll happily be all summer.

78 mi · Jun–Oct · Statewide flagship
№ 04 Pavement

Nebo Loop

Thirty-eight miles of switchbacks around the tallest peak in the Wasatch, and somehow nobody's on it.

38 mi · Jun–Oct · Statewide flagship
№ 05 Pavement

Alpine Loop

Narrow, shaded, absurdly pretty — the Wasatch's tightest paved ribbon.

24 mi · Jun–Oct · Statewide flagship
№ 06 Pavement

Logan Canyon

Forty-one miles of limestone canyon that ends at a lake so blue it looks photoshopped.

41 mi · Year-round · Statewide flagship
№ 07 Pavement

Guardsman Pass

Nearly 10,000 feet of pavement connecting two worlds, open four months a year.

20 mi · Jun–Oct · Statewide flagship
№ 08 Pavement

La Sal Mountain Loop

Red rock to alpine forest and back in sixty miles — Moab's best-kept non-secret.

60 mi · May–Oct · Statewide flagship
№ 09 Dirt

Paiute ATV Trail

The crown jewel of American OHV riding — 275 miles of main loop, two thousand more hanging off it.

275-mi loop mi · Jun–Oct high country · Statewide flagship
№ 10 Dirt

White Rim Road

A hundred dirt miles on a sandstone shelf a thousand feet above the Colorado.

100-mi loop mi · Mar–May, Sep–Nov · Statewide flagship
№ 11 Dirt

Francis Peak Radar Road

The golf balls. Five thousand vertical feet of dirt, ten minutes from the shop.

№ 12 Dirt

Skyline Drive

The ridge road over Bountiful Peak — Davis County's rooftop, connected end to end.

24 mi · Jul–Oct (gates) · Home turf
№ 13 Dirt

Farmington Canyon

The front door. Where the pavement ends and the whole point begins.

9 mi · Jun–Oct · Home turf

East Canyon — SR-65 & 66

Big Mountain Pass and the reservoir run — the Pony Express did it slower.

№ 15 Pavement

Trappers Loop

Nine miles of wide, perfect sweepers with Snowbasin out the window.

9 mi · Year-round · Home turf

The sleeper. Forty-five miles over a 9,000-foot summit, and it's basically ours.

45 mi · Jun–Oct (summit gate) · Home turf
№ 17 Pavement

North Ogden Divide

Five steep, tight miles over the wall between the city and the valley.

5 mi · Apr–Nov · Home turf
№ 18 Pavement

Ogden Canyon

Six miles of 1930s canyon narrows — the gateway drug to Ogden Valley.

6 mi · Year-round · Home turf
№ 19 Pavement

Antelope Island

A seven-mile causeway across an inland sea, to an island with more bison than people.

24 round trip mi · Year-round (gnat season is real) · Home turf
The cheat code

One machine.
Both worlds.

Utah Code § 41-6a-1509 lets a properly equipped, plated OHV or off-highway motorcycle run on regular streets and highways — no interstates, 50 mph cap, real equipment list. That's why Moab works, and it's why the machine you buy here can leave our parking lot, take East Canyon pavement, and climb Francis Peak dirt without ever touching a trailer.

It's also why our floor looks the way it does: Rieju and TM build exactly this machine. Come in and we'll walk you through plating one — requirements change, so we stay current so you don't have to.

Informational, not legal advice — verify current equipment and registration requirements before riding on-road.

Saturdays

The shop is the trailhead.

We close the laptop, open the bay door, and ride one of these routes most Saturdays — GoPro on, pace relaxed, everyone welcome including you and the bike you're not sure you still know how to ride. Text us. We'll tell you when the next one rolls. And once a month it gets bigger: skills clinic on our ground, Hires Big H lunch, canyon ride — we call it a Salto Session.
